Until Next Time

In the last month things have gotten a little crazy around here. I thought I would be able to come back and continue writing after a short break but it turns out I need more of a break. Today I decided that I am going to stop writing for the holiday season and start back up again in the new year. I may leave posts every now and again so check back. Thank you for all the support so far on this blog and I am excited for what the new year will bring.

Gilmore Girls

This weeks prompt is: It builds character. Tell us about a favorite character from film, theater, or literature, with whom you’d like to have a heart-to-heart. What would you talk about?

My favorite TV show is Gilmore Girls. I would want to talk to Lorelai. I would want to talk about how she became so successful. I would ask her about her childhood. I have always felt like they could have done a lot more with the show. It did last a long time but it would be fun to see a spin off about Lorelai's life before she had Rori. I have always related myself to characters in this show especially with events that have taken place in my life it would be fun to know the characters even more.

Answer the prompt in the comments below.

K is for kids

Halloween was last week and as a parent I get to participate in the fun which is Trick-Or-Treating. It was a lot of fun taking the kids out to go door to door to get candy. My daughter was Anna from Frozen. For about a month or two she would tell people I was going to be Elsa from Frozen. So for the first time since High School I dressed up. I have to admit that it was fun matching with my daughter. She is at a fun age where she just wants to eat the candy so after about ten houses she was done. I love holidays. Even more when kids are involved because it gives the adults good reasons to act like kids.

Believe

On Friday a man came by the house. He was a member of a local Baptist church and wanted to talk for a few minutes. He started asking some general questions on what I knew about God. I told him that I was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He read some scriptures out of the bible and was telling me about how Jesus died on the cross and was resurrected. When I started telling him that it was the same thing I believed in he seemed kind of shocked. I think a lot of people over look the fact the members of the Mormon church use the bible. We ended in a prayer and he went on his way. Everyone has more in common then a lot of people think. The thing I enjoyed most about the man that stopped by was that he didn't try pushing me into converting.

Thank you for stopping by to read todays post.

Time

The last two weeks have been a little crazy. Between work being super busy and my daughter and I being sick I just needed a break from writing. I am back and ready to get in the swing of things again!

What is your favorite time of day?
I like night time. I have always been a night owl. For some reason it is a lot easier for me to get things accomplished at night.

What is your favorite charitable cause and why?
My favorite charitable cause is The Santa Claus Shop. When I was younger I used to volunteer. The Santa Claus Shop is an organization all about children and toys. Their goal is to make sure every girl and boy have a toy for Christmas.

How do you like to spend a rainy day?
I like to spend rainy days curled up on the couch with a good movie or video games.

When writing by hand do you prefer to use a pencil or pen?
I like using a pen when I write. I think it looks neater and it doesn't rub off over time.

Bonus Question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
I am grateful for the kids having a fun and safe halloween this week. I am looking forward to having a week off work to catch up on things around the house.

Leave your answers to these questions in the comments.

I hope you all enjoy reading my blog.
