Going Obsolete

I am taking this weeks prompt form dailypost.wordpress.com

Going Obsolete: Of all the technologies that have gone extinct in your lifetime, which one do you miss the most?

I miss CDs and CD players the most. My first CD was C'mon C'mon by Sheryl Crow. These days it is a lot easier to just download a digital copy of an album or a song. One of my favorite things to do is make mix CDs. When I got my new computer I didn't even have a disk drive. I rarely use CDs in my car anymore. I normally hook my phone up to an AUX cord and just stream music that way. Now instead of mix CDs I just have to make a playlist. It is amazing how fast technology evolves. I remember as a kid using cassette tapes. Once CDs started to become a thing I got a portable player. Anytime it got bumped it would make the CD skip. I am very excited to watch as it evolves even more in the next twenty years of my life.

I really hope you all enjoy reading my blog. Please leave comments with suggestions or thoughts.

Proud

This weeks prompt is: Proud. When was the last time someone told you they were proud of you?

I actually received a postcard this week from my mom with her telling me how proud she is of me. It is a really good feeling when someone tells you they are proud of you. I try to make it a habit of telling my daughter that I am proud of her when she does something right or without being asked. It is amazing how fast she learns things now. She never stops surprising me and I am completely proud of her. Make it a goal to tell someone you are proud of them at least once a month. You never know how much it could improve their day.

I really hope you all enjoy reading my blog. Please leave comments with suggestions or thoughts.

Karma Chameleon

This weeks post is: Karma chameleon. Reincarnation: do you believe in it?

I don't believe in reincarnation. I think the concept is really interesting and I understand how it could be possible. I however believe we have been given one life on earth but we then live on in Heaven after our time on earth is over.

Todays post isn't to long but I would love to hear what your thoughts are on this topic.

Childhood Revisited

This weeks prompt is Childhood revisited. Sure, you turned out pretty good, but is there anything you wish had been different about your childhood? If you have kids, is there anything you wish were different for them?

I am pretty happy with my childhood. My family had many fun trips and I loved life. The only thing I might have done a little differently would have been to be more social and keep some of the friendships after High School. My daughter is not old enough to have made any mistakes of her own. She is a happy child and I love her to death. I hope she makes some close friends as she gets older. I hope she enjoys her childhood as much as I did.

I really hope you all enjoy reading my blog. Please leave comments with suggestions or thoughts.

Burning Down The House

Today's prompt is: Burning Down The House. Your home is on fire. Grab five items (assume all people and animals are safe). What did you grab?

With assuming everyone in the house is safe it makes this a little bit harder.

This is what I first thought of.
1. File of important documents in my file cabinet
2. Purse
3. My computer
4. Phone
5. Blanket

My computer doesn't seem like an important thing to grab but it has tons of pictures on it from my life that I would want to save.

What would you grab if your home was on fire?

Home Is Where The Heart Is

Todays prompt is: Free association. Write down the first words that comes to mind when we say . . . home. . . soil. . . rain. Use those words in the title of your post.

Home is not where you live. Home is where you are most comfortable. It is where you are surrounded by people who love and care about you. Sometimes it can be hard when you leave home and start forming a new one. I am in the process of still making a new home. It can be hard sometimes when you move away from your parents and start building a life of your own. I was really happy this last week to have my mom here. She helped me pick out curtains for our house and it definitely is more comfortable now. I love the quote above because it is completely true. Even though you make a new home when you grow up it will always be the starting place of new memories.

What makes your home a home?

Story of Your Life

Todays prompt is :This is your life. If you could read a book containing all that has happened and will ever happen in your life, would you? If you choose to read it, you must read it cover to cover.

I think this would be a very tempting book to read. It would be full of surprises, good and bad times, heartache, and love. I think what this week has shown me the most is that the future holds things that you could never even dream of. At the end of the day I don't think I would want to read this book. You would know what the future holds. Not knowing is the most exciting part about life though.  I think if we live our life with no regrets and by being a role model for our kids, there would be no reason to open the book. Those things would make our life full and happy. At least I would be happy with how my life turned out.

Would you read the book if you could?

I really hope you all enjoy reading my blog. Please leave comments with suggestions or thoughts.

Quote Me

Do you have a favorite quote that you return to again and again? What is it, and why does it move you?

I have talked about my all time favorite quote before so I am going to share one of my other favorites with you.

I always try to look at things positively even though often times I fail. I have always been the person to say life moves on. I can't change what happens.

What is a quote you live by?

I really hope you all enjoy reading my blog. Please leave comments with suggestions or thoughts.
